Sophomore slumps tend to be par for the course with most players, but for Ryan Baxter, he’s found his rhythm and turned into a star in year 2.
The Marlins’ third baseman has become a stalwart both at the hot corner and with the bat, turning in a .500 average so far to go along with arguably the best defence seen at third base in years.
Need a ball knocked down for an out? He’s got that covered. Need a clutch hit and RBI to carry the freight? No problem.
And don’t forget the arm!
Baxter has settled into a closer role this season, leveraging his mix of plus pitches to shut opposing offences down to help the Marlins in their search for a Reaper Cup!
It’s always exciting to see guys take that next step, and Baxter has more than taken the leap to become one of the next big stars in RHMRBL.
