We hope that you are all enjoying your time away from baseball with your Family and Significant others, meanwhile, I am sure they are wishing you were still out of the house playing baseball. Or it may be the other way around. Needless to say, enjoy the offseason rest, we all deserve it, and we will be back in no time with Winter Workouts in the New Year.
Thanks to all who were and are a Part of the best League in the GTA, The RHMRBL, and what made this, our 40th year of existence a GREAT ONE! For some, it is still hard to believe that we have been around for 40 years, and are just finding out about our great league, and the great friends made on, and off-the-ball diamonds.
We had an up-and-down summer of Weather; we experienced a water-soaked affair with game cancellations throughout the summer. But all cleared up and gave us one of the best years of playoff weather conditions to remember. September/October baseball was filled with many nights of plus 15-degree temps.
We want to Congratulate the 2024 Reaper Cup Champion Giants. They held onto Second place for most of the year, but just dropped out of the bye contention with 2 weeks to go, and finished 3rd in the regular season. They remained strong and believed in themselves to knock off some great teams in their quest for the Coveted Reaper Cup. Co-managers Leo Scire and Spencer Korman had no fear and just kept believing in the great team that they had drafted. They took their first-round series 2 games to 1 against the # 6 seed Expos, and then the second-round series against the #2 seed Pirates 2 games to 1, in the best of 3 sets.
Now onto the finals, the Giants went, riding high and unphased now facing the #1 seed Reds. Still firing on all cylinders winning the finals 3 games to 1, to claim that sought-after Reaper Cup, and be declared the 2024 Reaper Cup Champions. What we all chase year after year is to be on that winning team.
Now our year-end send-off is for all RHMRBL players, significant others, and HOF Alumni. It’s time to acknowledge the greats from this past year, as voted on by your fellow players with our annual Awards Banquet.

We are heading back to where our 2024 draft was held this year, Dave & Busters Vaughn, 120 Interchange Way, Vaughn Ontario. They will be our gracious host for this year's 2024 Awards Banquet, the event will take place on Saturday, November 16th. Doors will open at 7 pm, with the awards presentation starting at 7:30 pm, and food starting to be served around 8 pm. We will wrap up at 10 pm. The cost of this event will be $20/per person, in advance, so we can confirm numbers. Or $25/per person at the door. (HOF Alumni are welcome at no cost to celebrate our 40th season). This will help to offset some of the costs of the event, food & awards. We ask that you pay via EMT (Preferred) to rhmrbl@gmail.com.
