Pitchers beware, because Alim Manji has quickly become one of the most feared lead-off hitters in RHMRBL this season.
While finding himself in a star-studded Twins lineup headlined by players like AJ Leitch, and Conner Stevenson, Alim has managed to be the key table setter for his team. Quietly putting together the best season in his career, Alim currently finds himself batting .531 with a career best OPS!
Even with his potent bat, it’s hard to forget how much of a menace he can be on the base paths. Any single, walk, or HBP he gets will quickly turn into him being in scoring position thanks to his speed and cunning on the base paths.
Alim has also turned it up on his defence this season, making unthinkable catches in centre field, and displaying a high IQ in his playmaking out there. If you think you can slip a ball by Alim, think again while you walk back to the dugout after a flyout.
Beyond his on field contributions, Alim is a consummate man in the parking lot. Always wearing a smile and sharing in time with both his team and members of the league, it’s hard to imagine a night at the Green without Alim’s fun-loving self making the rounds after a game.
