It is hard to believe 25 years ago a weekend dart event has become a huge part of so many lives. A dart tournment that started out with 10 players trying to fill time on a weekend became so much more. Over the years a CC event ranged from a 10 player 80 game 5 month endeavour to 1 day events when life got busier (kids) for us all. There was a huge gap of time where no events were held and it look like the Cloon Cup was a memory... but through a world wide Pandemic a spark (Chris Moncayo) got us all back together again. In May of 2020, 7 players returned to battle it out on the dart board and more importantly hang out together. Since then 6 different players in 6 season have add their name to the Cloon Cup (CC25 , CC26 , CC27 , CC28 , CC29 , CC30 .
Since May of 2020, 11 Cloon Cup season have been played (6 singles and 5 Doubles) with no end in sight and the competition getting fiercer by the day.
Pattie Desario-Lance became the 9th player to win the Cup with a 10-8 victory over Andrew Lance last season. The handi-caps and All-Star Points have been refined and the league is as close as ever, who will raise their game the most? who will find those cluth doubles? who will survive the 56 game long season + up to 5 rounds of Playoffs? Will a 7th straight new winner be crowed? These question will be answered over the next few months ... good luck to all.
